Bone Grafts

Bone grafting is a procedure that is usually performed in order to place implants at a later date. When teeth are lost, the surrounding bone undergoes a process called disuse atrophy. With time the actual bone gets thinner and shorter.

To correct this, we can place various materials in effort to restore the bulk of bone lost over time or through trauma. Depending on the treatment plan this can range from a simple chair-side addition to a dental procedure, to a hospital procedure including a donor site.
